Transcript:
We hope to inspire the youth we work with. The Youth Legacy Foundation. What is a legacy? Your mark on the world. What lives on. How you are remembered. Youth with disabilities are important to our future so they are important to us. Youth with disabilities can leave legacies. About 4% of youth with disabilities are enrolled in a 4 year college vs. 29% of youth without disabilities. Labor force participation: People with disabilities 20.3% People without disabilities 69.7%. We hope to change these numbers for the better through the work that we do at YLF. We offer four programs for youth:
VOLUNTEER FACILITATION
LEADERSHIP
MENTORING
PEER MENTORING
We held a conference in July 2012. We are collaborating with other youth groups and organizations. We have something going on each month. Everyone is welcome. YLF started in 2011. We became a 501 (C) (3) in March 2013. With a passionate executive director and a talented board we hope to inspire the youth we work with. We will continue to grow with your help.
